Installation
requirements:
Slim-Drive EasyRoller
Roller Door Automatic
Will suit ANY make of roller
garage door up to 5100mm wide by 3100mm high. The door must be
well balanced i.e. you should be able to lift the door up manually
with very little effort in case of an emergency. The door
should open smoothly with very little resistance and should not
stick or bind in the guide tracks. If the door is not well
balanced then we will adjust the door's settings prior to
installation.
Side
clearance. The Slim-Drive EasyRoller simply slots on to the side
of your roller door and may be fitted to either the left hand side
or right hand side of the door. The distance between the
edge of the door curtain and the inside of the bracket must be at
least 40mm, however, for easier access it is recommended that at
least 95mm is allowed.
Electricity
outlet in garage. The Slim-Drive
EasyRoller
is pre-fitted with a standard UK 3-pin plug. You will need to
have an electric socket in the garage so that the unit may be
plugged in. For your safety we will not wire the automatic
into the mains in the garage.
Other access to
garage. In case of a power cut there is an
emergency release cord that you may pull to de-activate the automatic. This
will allow you to open the door manually
so you will always be
able to get into or out of your garage. If
you do not have a side door into the garage then we strongly
recommend the installation of an optional emergency key
release. (This is not necessary if you have another means of
access to your garage.)
These guidelines are provided
so that you may assess if your garage is suitable for our automatics.
If you already have a roller door, retractable up-and-over door or
sectional door and your garage meets all the above requirements then
it is not usually necessary to arrange a site survey prior to
installation. If you are in any doubt then please Contact
Us to arrange a site survey. |
